The Kempty Fall is one of the major tourist attractions in Mussoorie. Tourist as well as residents of Mussoorie love to visit this beautiful water fall. It is situated at 1,364 m. The melodious sound of this waterfall can be heard from a distance. You will enjoy water and scenic view together here. People can enjoy boating in the lake.
Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie and offering a panoramic view of the town and surrounding. This place is famous for a Japanese telescope which was places in 1967. One can view Badrinath, Kedarnath and other Himalayan ranges from this telescope.
Char Dhukaan is a small place which is near St. Paul’s Church. It’s is small market and called as sister bazaar. It is en route to Lal Tibba. Earlier there were ‘four shops’ though there are more than four shops now. It’s a cool place to hang out with family or friends and enjoy chai with snacks.
Want to have walk experience in Mussoorie? You must try to walk on Kulri Road, it is almost 3 km and starting from Library chowk and ending at the Kulri Bazaar. Kulri road offers one of the most amazing view of the Doon Valley.
The cable car ride in Mussoorie is another major attraction for tourists. It’s a 10 minutes’ ride that starts from Jhula Ghar to Gun Hill. Enjoy amazing views of the mountains and Doon Valley from ropeway.
Dhanaulti is among the most beautiful places to visit around Mussoorie. It is 24 km. from Mussoorie. There is Eco Park in Dhaunalti which attracts to kids for enjoying the rides in huge green space.
Kanatal, a small village that is 35 km from Mussoorie and 10 kms beyond Dhanaulti. A lesser frequented destination, Kanatal greets the occasional visitor with crisp, cold and fresh mountain breeze. Situated at a height of 8500 ft. the place gets heavy snow fall during winter and is cool even in peak summer.
Chamba is a hill station is Tehri Garhwal District. It is 65 kms from Mussoorie and good place to stay for 1 night or 2 Nights. You may visit Tehri and Tehri Lake while staying in Chamba. All these places are on same route.
